Who Am I? What Is The Purpose of My Existence?

“And before thee also the messengers We sent were but men, to whom We granted inspiration: if ye realize this not, ask of those who possess the Message – the Ahlul Zikr” Surah An-Nahl, 43

"He who practices Sufism (tasawwuf) without learning Sacred Law corrupts his faith, while he who learns Sacred Law without practicing Sufism (tasawwuf) corrupts himself. Only he who combines the two proves true" Imam Malik

"Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" Albert Einstein

“Minds should be enlightened with science, and hearts need to be illumined with religion” Said Nursi

The Holy Quran, Science and Tassawuf is the only guidance to decipher the most fundamental question about the reality of existence: who am I? Where did I come from, why am I here, and to where am I going to, that was not captured by hadith methodology and jurisprudence. Without guidance to these fundamental questions, we will always be in a state of illusion, separation and conflict within our inner self and reflected in our attitude and actions, hence affecting our life and destiny.

The Holy Qur’an is the science of Allah swt with all of its verses, surahs and mathematical signature establishes these universal truths: Oneness of Allah swt, Caliphs of Great Governance, Choices: Free Will and Divine Will, Obedience and Worship, Love and Light. Science will never win without the guidance from the Holy Quran. Science are phenomenon yield from the unseen world but it is the Holy Quran that led us to understand how the behaviour and attributes of these unseen world is interconnected and behave in our own subtle body, in order to know “self” and to know our Lord to be the Greatest.

“We did not acquire the knowledge of tassawuf just by talking about it, but rather we acquire it through spending the nights awake in prayer, hunger from fasting the days and going against our worldly desire“ Imam Junaid

Tassawuf has its origin in all saints. After the prophets, saints become the guardian of the message of Divine Revelations. The Holy Prophet Muhammad saw, even though he knows Allah swt within his consciousness, awareness, heart and soul, yet he was commanded to ask the ahlul zikr. Ahlul Zikr are saints who experience Allah swt within their consciousness, awareness, and perception and through the faculty of higher senses since they are higher functioning living beings after the prophets. They are the ones who has surrendered their whole selves to His countenance and they witness and realized Allah swt in Truth, not by taqlid or hearsay, hence, they become the embodiment of divine intelligence guidance. Can we too? Absolutely! And don’t let anyone tell you that you are unable to receive divine guidance just because they did not experience it within themselves. I know, because it has been for me.

Who am I?

“Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth” Surah Al Baqarah, 30

“Allah is the light of heaven and earth” Surah An-Nur, 35

“Does man think that he will be left uncontrolled, (without purpose)?” Al-Qiyaama, 36

“My soul is from elsewhere, I’m sure of that, and I intend to end up there” Rumi

Who am I is a great question and a fundamental one. We are body (physical) and soul (spiritual) and in the realm of Free Will and the lower world, the spiritual (soul) is separated from matter-physical (body). They are separate consciousness. The soul is light in nature and light is one of Allah’s divine attributes. The human body is matter (physical) and light is what gives matter its identification, form and character. Without light, matter is dead without meaning, purpose and significance. Light is the key to deliver matter its properties, ownership and value in the Law of Infinite Expression. If matter obey the laws of physics which is supreme, light will dominate and govern how it will behave and move and it will be endowed into what is computed and intended, giving it meaning, purpose and significance – the true cause of the purpose of existence. Light interaction with matter is one of the greatest marvels of the world.

“It is He Who brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living, and Who gives life to the earth after it is dead: and thus shall ye be brought out (from the dead)” Surah Ar Ruum, 19

“To Him belongs every being that is in the heavens and on earth: all are devoutly obedient to Him” Surah Ar-Ruum, 26

“The soul is here for its own joy” Rumi

Ponder other living beings: animal kingdom, plant kingdom and the kingdom of the universe! They joy upon life and flourished so much that they spring forth blossoming beauty and multitudes of color wonderfully enlivened creation. Their soul possesses unique symphony of songs with its own unique pitch, vibration and frequency and their body dance to the music and rhythm of love, beauty and grace. Their life is well being taken care of by the Creator who is All Loving All Merciful All Knowing but why are humans suffering from chronic diseases, mental health issues and struggling in life?

"We have sent it down as an Arabic Quran, in order that ye' may learn wisdom" Surah Yusuf, 2

“For We have sent unto you a light (that is) manifest” Surah An-Nisaa, 174

MIM HA MIM DAL - MUHAMMAD (Man is a pre-established design of Arabic letterings)

“So set thou thy face steadily and truly to the Faith: (establish) Allah’s handiwork according to the pattern on which He has made mankind: no change (let there be) in the work (wrought) by Allah. That is the standard Religion: but most among mankind understand not” Surah Ar Ruum, 30

The human body is engineered with love and compassion, power and intelligence in order to transform the soul into higher functioning living beings. We are light in a physical form. When one knows the light, one knows everything. When one knows everything, one knows he is nothing. When one knows he is nothing, he is able to grasp, comprehend, recognize and perceive Allah swt within his being-ness hence, he is able to verify with Absolute Certainty His existence and Oneness, hence the becoming of a humble soul whose nature is Nur and whose pattern of conduct is Muhammad in the cloak of Ahmad who testify within his being-ness, zahir and batin, "there is no god but God."

Therefore, you need to prioritize who you are and what is your purpose in life. Do not let anyone tell you to be which you cannot maintain and sustain. You must know that you are not you. Social media give you an excuse not to be who you are not but to be what they want you to be. If you follow them blindly, your soul will be ruined to the shackle.

I tell you this, let Allah swt be your Guide, Teacher, and Master and let Him do the work for you. Let Him speak, and you must listen to no other than Him alone. Miracles happen if you let Him. Illusion and struggle happen when you let people’s thought dominate and shape you.

Your Duty Unto the One and Only God

“Only he who bears witness to the Truth, and they know Him” Surah Az Zukhruf, 86

“I was a Treasure unknown then I desired to be known so I created a creation to which I made Myself known; then they know Me” Hadith Qudsi

This is the eternal calling from the Lord of the world to the wise: witness Allah in Truth and not by taqlid, hearsay nor by following authority and one must know and recognize Allah swt within his senses, consciousness, awareness, perception and being-ness. Faith and belief in Allah swt cannot be based by following blindly what our ancestors do but by evidence, truth and genuine religiousity through firm realization of Allah swt that must be embedded in our consciousness, awareness, thought process, perception and character.

“Creation’s highest aim and most sublime result is belief in God. The most exalted rank of humanity is the knowledge of God” Said Nursi

“So turn (in repentance) to your Maker, and slay yourselves” Surah Al Baqarah, 54

Allah swt cannot be grasped by the eye nor speech, nor by penance and good works, so I have learned. One who is pure and firm in his vow of syahadah, his thought is fixate on Him alone and he worship Him through his recognition of Him and do homage to Him alone. These are those of faith purified by His love and grace and having restrained his mind from sense-objects, he is balanced and focus and his consciousness is peace, love and culminating in the bliss of Oneness, abiding in His love and mercy. Prophets and saints reached the station of supreme bliss, which comes to the contemplators whose passion for the world ceases. For them, Allah is the One and Only in everything and in witnessing and He is the One intended without any possibility to deny nor disclaim.

What is Islam? Islam is to surrender and submit oneself wholly and purely to His Will and abandon the desire of the flesh. When you let the desire of the flesh die, Allah swt will restore you to a new life. Die not except in the faith of Islam. Die before dying and wake up from the slumber of the unreal, illusion and ignorance!

It is faith in Oneness and the soul’s light purpose that is the key to His kingdom of knowledge. No one lives in darkness when he knows the Light. To understand the soul is to free oneself from illusion of the body and mind and become compounded to the light upon light and unto His light construct that sustain and nurture life with perfection, spiritual knowledge and abundance.

The soul is not ego, nor constraint to space time but consciousness of reality that embody divine power and intelligence whose nature is Nur, the crux of existence whose quintessence is greater than Maryam, for it is the fabric upon which grace, love and rahmah are poured upon that which advance more and more to accomplish its divine purpose. It is not confined to being victims of circumstances, rather, it evolve itself towards a blissful destiny – a destiny of Great Governance in the most sophisticated way and assist us to function as caliphs in an extraordinary manner – such a beautiful pattern of conduct and intelligence is impossible to achieve with our brain (zahir) processes alone.

You are the soul to experience Love and Compassion and the purpose of the soul is to perceive and experience no other but Him alone. The soul is created for the freedom of His divine expression within limitation and within the power of His plan, purpose, desire and intent. The agenda of the soul is Nur, without Nur, all is rendered useless. There is no lack in His divine providence. It is always self-sufficient unto itself that is eternally evolving and preserved in the name of love, mercy and compassion, Ar Rahman Ar Raheem.

Therefore, be brave and free yourself from the bondage of small minded religious bigots and their lies and dare to contradict them. Explore the mystery of your soul and surely you will find the truth through His guidance. Blind faith is like you thinking there is water at the end of the desert only to find a mirage instead or like a blind man looking for a black cat in a darkened room.
