I am a stranger in the world of great pretence
the loneliness that moves in me
You are my only Companion
In the dark, I turn to You to see the light of truth
I am a stranger
looking for love and answers
You are my only love, guide and shelter
O' dearly Beloved
apart from You there is no other
O' dearly Beloved
I have left everything utterly out of my love for You
and widowed my other half that I may behold You
Even if You smashed me a million times for Love's sake
yet would my heart and soul yearn for none besides You
O' Generous One
You are the One who encompasses all things
I ask of You by the magnificent light of Your face
where all submit and prostrate
before which You have supreme power over Your servants
Guide me on Your path
the path of whom Thou have showered them Love and Grace
and make me a stranger in the strangeness of Your religion
and turn my heart away from whatever is other than You
O' You who is the Imperishable Limitless One
apart from You there is no other
I ask of You O my Rabb the Most Loving the Most Merciful:
a radiant faculties and senses that I may absorbed my being in the insatiable wholeness of Your love
a receptive heart that I may behold only the magnificence of Your abiding great names and glorify You in ecstatic contemplation
a burning desire that I burn and burn and enraptured in Your divine love
a soul at peace that I may yield my limbs and forehead to the ground for obeying You
a focused mind of You alone that I may propagate in remembrance of You in every fiber of my being
a focused thought solely of You and resorting only to You
a truthful tongue purified by the austerity of Your knowledge
a steady and steadfast thought of You and Your great abiding names even at the hour of death
and bestow upon me immovable faith that I may turn only to You for the Truth and remember You when I faced my enemies
O' Ellahu Er Rahman Er Raheem
grant me my right from You that I be a lover for You
apart from You there is no other
I am a stranger in the strangeness of Islam
are there any other strangers in this world
who have surrendered to the abode of Peace
apart from Him, there will be no peace
He is the only shelter and the only shade
and He is the One and Only companion and Guide
let those who believed, believed
and let those who disbelieved, disbelieved
for it is He that all things return
to Him belongs ordaining power and subjugating Might
and in His hands are the creation and command
O' You who is the Imperishable Limitless One
apart from You there is no other
There is no god but God and it is what it is
and there is nothing else to be said, heard and remembered
